My artwork is based on my journey on this planet through a visual timeline of watercolors, drawings, oil paintings, and photography...

Representing various stages in my life, some dejected and downhearted, some eerie, others mighty, colorful, and bold...
I pull thoughts, and memories out of my mind and transform them artistically in a way thats visually absorbing.

I am fascinated with people's facial expressions, body movement, manner, and attitude, which opens up many creative windows for me to express that particular raw beauty the way I see them.

My portraits are not a realistic reconstruction of the literal subject, but rather pulling out specific qualities that draws me to them. The amazing qualities in a person that can be disgusting, sexy, crude, pathetic, fearless, brave, sturdy, or discouraged...recognizable in another sense.

My definition of beauty are the things that intimidate us, captivate us, gives us anxiety attacks, romance, rawness, pain, potency, devastation, craving, wisdom, the feelings we keep to ourselves because there are no ways of really explaining them...A reason for living and dying...
